AFRICAN AMERICAN GENEALOGY INTEREST GROUP

FRANKLIN COUNTY GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY

COLUMBUS, OHIO

Dear Friends:

We of the African American Genealogy Interest Group of the Franklin County Genealogical Society are beginning our sixth year of exploring the worlds of our ancestors and we invite you to join with us.

As you may know, our meetings are monthly and usually are held on the last Wednesday of each month at 7:00 P.M. at the Franklin County Genealogical Society, 570 West Broad Street. Below is the schedule of events for 1997. As you will note, the next meeting on February 26 will be devoted to discovering and utilizing the resources at the Franklin County Genealogical Society. Although this library focuses on Franklin County, there are many national and international records and references that can be useful to anyone doing genealogy.

Currently there are no membership dues for participating in our meetings, however, if you wish to join the Franklin County Genealogical Society the membership is $14.00 per year. Although joining the society is completely optional, there are some advantages to having this membership.

We look forward to having you join with us in the coming year. For any further information, you may call any of the numbers below.

Sincerely,

John Washington
